The iPhone 13 Pro Max brought ProMotion 120Hz to the Max for the first time, adaptive 1–120Hz refresh that delivered both smoothness and battery efficiency. The 4,352 mAh battery was Apple's largest ever and real-world 2+ day use was common for moderate users. Macro mode via the ultra-wide lens and sensor-shift OIS on all three cameras completed the most capable Pro Max lineup to that date.
At 240g it remains the heaviest iPhone produced. The 6.7-inch ProMotion OLED is the most expensive screen in the 13 lineup — glass-only refurbishment is strongly recommended where the panel is intact. The rear camera AB adhesive issue affects both 13 Pro models.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max rear camera is not working after a drop — is it the same module as the 13 Pro?
Yes — the 13 Pro Max and 13 Pro use identical, interchangeable rear camera modules. This is unique to this generation. Strong parts availability makes camera replacement straightforward.
My 13 Pro Max screen has white patches or bright areas — white screen defect?
Yes — the same known AB adhesive failure as the 13 Pro. The frame lifts slightly as the adhesive dries, allowing the OLED flex to be exposed and creating white patches or pressure marks without any drop. Screen replacement resolves it.
My 13 Pro Max Face ID shows 'Move Higher or Lower' and never works — is that fixable?
In many cases yes. JCID tag on flex method — R1,500 if fixable. Dot projector or lens seating issues are often repairable. If the IR camera has failed, Face ID cannot be recovered. We diagnose the specific component first.
My 13 Pro Max won't charge on Lightning — Hydra IC or port?

My 13 Pro Max is stuck in iTunes mode — NAND?
Error 4013 or 9 on repeated restore attempts indicates NAND flash storage failure. We replace using the P15 programmer. 256GB upgrade recommended — board is open, cost is incremental.
