1. Terms of Service (Repair Focus)

iAssist Repair Terms and Conditions

  1. Repair Estimates & Quotes: All repair prices provided before a physical inspection are estimates. A formal quote will be issued after diagnostics. In accordance with the South African CPA, we will not proceed with repairs exceeding the quoted amount without your explicit consent.

2. Data Loss Disclaimer: iAssist Repair is not responsible for any loss of data, software, or files during the repair process. It is the customer's responsibility to back up all data before handing over a device. By submitting your device, you acknowledge this risk.

3. Abandoned Devices: Devices not collected within 90 days of notification of completion of been repaired will be considered abandoned. iAssist Repair reserves the right to sell or dispose of abandoned items to recover the costs of parts and labor, as permitted by South African law. If a device can't be repaired and you abandoned it and don't collect the device within 90 Days , it will be E-waste recycled. 

4. Risk of Damage: Certain repairs (specifically screen removals on water-damaged or heavily impacted units) carry an inherent risk of further damage. iAssist Repair will exercise all reasonable care but is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, except in cases of gross negligence.

1. Information We Collect: We collect your name, contact number, email address, or physical address to facilitate your repair and provide status updates.

2. Purpose of Collection: Your data is used solely for service delivery, invoicing, and occasional marketing (only if you have opted in).

3. Data Security: iAssist Repair implements strict technical and organizational measures to ensure your personal information remains secure. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Your Rights: Under POPIA, you have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting our Information Officer at matthew@iassist.net.za.


3. Refund & Warranty Policy.

Warranty & Returns

1. Repair Warranty: We provide a 6-month warranty on all parts and labor provided by iAssist Repair. This warranty is limited to the specific part replaced and does not cover the entire device.

2. Exclusions: The warranty is void if:

  • The device shows signs of physical impact or liquid damage after the repair.

  • The device has been opened or tampered with by a third party.

  • The software has been modified (e.g., "jailbreaking").

3. Refunds: If a repair is unsuccessful or a part is found to be defective and cannot be replaced, a full refund for that specific service will be issued. Please note that diagnostic fees are non-refundable.
