If charging stopped suddenly on a Watch with healthy battery history, it's more likely the charging system. We test both before quoting.
Why does my Apple Watch only charge in one position on the puck?
The wireless charging coil receives power via inductive coupling — your Watch coil and the puck coil need to align. If alignment becomes finicky, the alignment magnets are weakening, the coil has partially shorted, or the case has shifted very slightly out of spec (typically post-drop). All three are repairable.
