Camera completely black
The camera app opens but shows only a black screen. Can be a failed camera module, damaged flex cable, or software fault. Free diagnostic to confirm.
Blurry photos — camera won't focus
Autofocus failure or a damaged lens assembly. Persistent blurriness that does not improve with cleaning or software reset indicates the camera module needs replacement.
Front camera fault — Face ID/TrueDepth
Front camera issues on iPad Pro may affect Face ID. We carefully preserve the TrueDepth sensor during any front camera repair.
Green lines or colour artefacts
Green lines, pink tones, or random artefacts in the camera feed indicate a damaged sensor or cable. Camera module replacement.
LiDAR scanner fault — iPad Pro 2020+
The LiDAR scanner on iPad Pro models enables AR depth sensing and improved autofocus. If the LiDAR module is damaged it can be replaced.
Camera app crashes immediately
If the camera app crashes on opening on a specific camera (front or rear), the corresponding camera module has likely failed. Software reset test first, then hardware replacement if confirmed.
