Apple publishes wall-socket power figures but not the exact PSU rating; since the M4 Pro draws up to 140W, the built-in supply is rated above that — approximately 150W, shared across the M4 and M4 Pro. No external brick.

The M4 Pro is a significant leap — it introduces Thunderbolt 5 speeds, and the power-delivery and thermal demands inside that tiny chassis are intense. Faults on the high-bandwidth Thunderbolt lines or the compact PSU need genuine Level-3 diagnostics, not a guess-and-swap approach.

Do you repair the new M4 Mac mini — the small one?
Yes. The M4 and M4 Pro (late 2024) use a completely redesigned, much smaller chassis with a new internal power supply, and we are equipped for board-level work on it. Free diagnostic on arrival.
What is different about repairing the M4?
The M4 packs everything into a roughly 5-by-5-inch enclosure with a redesigned internal PSU and very dense thermals, plus two new front USB-C ports. That changes both the disassembly and the power and cooling diagnostics compared with the older square chassis — it needs current tooling and technique, which we have.
What’s the difference between M4 and M4 Pro for repairs?
The base M4 uses Thunderbolt 4; the M4 Pro steps up to Thunderbolt 5 with higher-bandwidth controller and retimer circuitry. We diagnose and repair both, including the Thunderbolt 5 lines and power-delivery controllers on the Pro.
My M4 front USB-C port doesn’t work — can that be fixed?
Yes. The M4 introduced two front USB-C ports; power-delivery or data faults on them are repairable at component level on the logic board. Free diagnostic to confirm the fault before quoting.
Can the M4 Mac mini be upgraded?
No. Like all Apple Silicon, the M4’s memory and storage are integrated and soldered — there is no after-purchase upgrade path. This makes board-level repair and careful data handling the key services for this generation.
Can you recover data from an M4 Mac mini?
Only when the logic board can be revived. The M4’s storage is encrypted and bound to the Secure Enclave in the chip, so if the main chip survives we can restore the board and clone your data; if it does not, the storage cannot be read on its own. We assess this honestly at the free diagnostic.
